Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 has an Alex problem, but not with the character himself or anything in-game. Instead, fans have largely decried Alex’s ending, which catches up with him after he marries and impregnates Patricia, his step-sister and second cousin. Now, Capcom is answering that backlash with an upcoming patch that addresses some of the criticisms lobbed against it.Street Fighter 6 Takayuki Nakayama announced the patch online and wrote that the team is sorry „for any confusion that recent topics regarding Alex’s story may have caused.“ Nakayama went on to note that Alex and Patricia’s backstories aren’t being retconned, but Capcom does „plan to revise certain text passages that may have been misleading in the near future.“We apologize for any confusion that recent topics regarding Alex’s story may have caused.While we have not changed the characters’ backstories,after internal review by the development team, we plan to revise certain text passages that may have been misleading in the near future.… — TAKA-nakayama (@takaNakayama) March 26, 2026 Nakayama also provided a link to a short story on Street Fighter 6’s official site that reaffirms the connection between Alex and Patricia. They’re still step-siblings and he still held her as a baby. The only real change it makes is that they didn’t know each other well for most of her life until he came to her rescue as an adult.
